SellerActive's automated repricing strategies can be triggered by multiple events at any time, which leads to two very pressing questions:
- Why will my prices change?
- When will my prices change?
Why will my prices change?
SellerActive automatically changes your prices based on both the repricing strategy you choose in the SellerActive configuration as well as marketplace events, called “triggers". Each strategy specifies events that trigger repricing.
- marketplace changes
- inventory levels
- seller reputation changes.
Each trigger will cause SellerActive to do either a one-time repricing, or an algorithmic repricing process that takes place over several hours.
One-Time Price Changes
Strategies such as Velocity Repricing will change prices only once when they are triggered. The goal of Velocity Repricing is to control the rate at which product is sold. It achieves this by raising prices to slow sales, or lowering prices to speed up sales. Repricing is triggered by measuring inventory changes over time.
Repeated Price Changes
Algorithmic Buy Box and Target Rank strategies can be triggered any time a competitor's pricing, ranking, or status changes. These strategy triggers can result in multiple price changes over a short period of time to fine-tune results.
For example, Algorithmic Buy Box will alternately increase and decrease item prices by various amounts as it hones in on the optimal price point for Buy Box ownership and maximum profits. Since this process can require many price changes, it can take up to six hours.
When will my prices change?
SellerActive wants to get as many of your products into the Buy Box as soon as possible.
SellerActive is always monitoring your marketplace listings to make sure your selected strategies are doing their job. When SellerActive is triggered by an event, it gets to work. Repricing can be triggered at any time, day or night.
Remember that certain pricing strategies such as Algorithmic Buy Box can keep adjusting item pricing for up to six hours in order to find the optimal price for your goals.
Note: All changes will stay within the maximum and minimum price ranges you set for each product.
