When you have sent inventory to the Amazon warehouse, it will result in the item earning an "FBA/Amazon" Fulfillment Type. Once that initial inventory has entirely sold out, you may want to sell that product out of your home location without listing an entirely new SKU. This can be done within the Pricing Manager or via an upload.
What if I have two listings with the same SKU that are FBA and MFN (Fulfilled by Merchant)?
We currently hold the Amazon FBA quantities in high regard and we allow the feed from Amazon to override any attempts we have at adjusting quantities. You may be able to convert the listing to MFN and change the quantity, however, the next time we receive the feed from Amazon the previously stored quantity will be overwritten. Your best option in this scenario is to end the MFN listing and then relist with a new SKU.
Does this process not happen automatically?
Unfortunately, converting items from FBA to MFN is a manual process. The process of converting MFN to FBA is automated however the conversion is dependent on the physical inventory hitting the FBA warehouse.
Within the Pricing Manager:
1. Pull up the listing in question
2. Select the listing and then highlight the "hamburger menu" in the upper left hand corner. Select the "Convert to MFN" button within the menu
3. This will adjust the "Fulfilled By" column to "Merchant" and then you will be able to manipulate the quantity column moving forward.
Within an Upload Template:
1. When you download an Inventory Upload Template you will see a column to the far right hand side that is marked as "Fulfilled By"
